Draft Assessment: Chris

Like Bradley, Chris is another potential villain. As a male model, he’s ambitious and considers himself a “ladies’ man”, which is not a good sign because women on Survivor typically steer clear of self-proclaimed ladies men. Also, he will likely alienate himself from the other men on the tribe if he attempts to use his charm in obvious ways. He says he’ll provide food like Ken McNickle (runner-up, Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen-X), have the determination and athletic ability of Michaela Bradshaw (14th place, Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen-X, 7th place, Survivor: Game Changers), and the eye candy appeal of Joe Anglim (10th place, Survivor: Worlds Apart, 8th place, Survivor: Cambodia), but none of those players had the social game to win Survivor. The only plus is that Chris says his hero is his “ma” who struggled with MS and overcame the odds, which shows that he has a softer side. If Chris displays his more vulnerable side to his tribemates, he might have a chance.

Bottom line: Chris will be physically capable, but on the surface he doesn’t seem to have what it takes to become Sole Survivor. However, if he is labeled a non-threat like Taylor Lee Stocker (12th place, Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen-X), he could slip by if he makes the merge.
