Draft Assessment: Jenna

Superfans of the show have done well on the show recently (Spencer Bledsoe, Aubry Bracco, David Wright, Ryan Ulrich and winner Adam Klein, to name a few). This season superfans may actually have an even bigger advantage, since the Ghost Island theme is directly connected to past seasons and may require knowledge of Survivor history. Jenna, unfortunately, does not seem to be a fan of the show. She doesn’t compare herself to any previous contestants, and she doesn’t reference a particular strategy she wants to employ. Instead, she says she came on the show for the “experience of a lifetime”, which seems to indicate she won’t be playing the game that hard out of the gate. She also lists “bad breath” as one of her pet peeves. Newsflash, Jenna: you will be living on an island without toothpaste. Everyone will have bad breath. Despite all this, she may not pose a threat at all, which could be to her advantage.

Bottom line: Jenna might be a safe bet for your draft because she isn’t likely to pose much of a threat to her tribemates and will probably make the merge. However, she may not be a great Sole Survivor pick because she doesn’t seem to have the chops to compete strategically, at least based on her bio.
